CHIANGRAI – This year Anantara Golden Triangle Resort & Spa,Chiang Rai, is in a festive mood with their very own traditional Christmas celebrations, Thai style. Christmas is about celebrating with good food, great friends and family and with a few indigineous touches thrown in will this holiday season all the more special.

Anantara’s festivities are designed to indulge all the senses and the celebration night begins on December 24th with mountaintop sunset cocktails overlooking Myanmar, Laos and Thailand.

Hill tribe orphans will be playing a mixture of traditional hill tribe songs along with Christmas carols.  As festivities close on the mountain, a long drum parade with the hill tribe people will lead guests to dinner where a traditional Christmas Eve meal will be served. Christmas Eve celebrations close with wish lanterns released into the night skies over Myanmar, Laos and Thailand.

After opening your gifts from Santa let Christmas Day unfold with brunch in the Sala Mae Nam with traditional favourites such as succulent turkey, roasted ham and all the trimmings and spiced mulled wine.
